UltiMaker Tough PLA is a technical PLA (polylactic acid) filament offering toughness comparable to ABS, while retaining the ease of use and safety of regular PLA. Ideal for reliably printing large functional prototypes, tooling and manufacturing aids without the risk of delamination or warping. Tough PLA delivers higher stiffness than ABS, is less brittle than standard PLA and provides a quality matte surface finish. Its improved machinability also allows for additional post-processing techniques such as drilling, cutting and sanding. Compatible with UltiMaker PVA and Breakaway support materials for full geometric design freedom with complex parts. Fully optimized through Cura material profiles and compatible with all UltiMaker 2.85 mm printers. Available in 7 colours, each spool contains 0.75 kg with an approximate filament length of 96 m. Not suitable for temperatures above 58°C or long-term outdoor use.
