UV-DTF

UV-DTF stands for Ultraviolet – Direct to Film. It is a modern printing technique mainly used for stickers and transfers with a premium, durable finish.

What is UV-DTF?

With UV-DTF, a design is printed onto a special transfer film using UV-curable inks. The ink is instantly cured with UV light. The print can then be applied as a sticker/transfer to almost any smooth surface, without the use of heat.

Where is UV-DTF used?

UV-DTF is widely used for:

  • Branding & logos on products

  • Promotional items (bottles, mugs, power banks, corporate gifts)

  • Interior decoration (glass, mirrors, furniture)

  • Electronics (phone cases, laptops)

  • Cosmetics and packaging industry

  • Signage & advertising (small runs, custom work)

Suitable surfaces include:

  • Glass

  • Metal

  • Plastic

  • Ceramic

  • Lacquered wood

What are the advantages of UV-DTF?

  • No heat required – unlike traditional transfers

  • Adheres to many materials

  • Highly durable – scratch-resistant, waterproof and UV-resistant

  • High print quality – sharp details and vibrant colors

  • 3D / embossed effect possible (tactile print)

  • Perfect for small runs & personalization

  • Fast production

UV-DTF is therefore ideal if you:

  • want high-quality stickers or logos

  • need to print on difficult materials

  • are looking for a professional, premium appearance

Practical example: logo on drink bottles

Imagine you want to apply a logo to 50 stainless steel drink bottles.

With UV-DTF:

  • The logo is produced as a transfer

  • The sticker is applied and pressed onto the bottle

  • Ideal for small runs and custom work

  • No heat, no machine required

Result:

  • Scratch-resistant

  • Waterproof

  • Slightly raised texture (premium look and feel)

  • are looking for a premium finish
