The process is straightforward: water-based inks are printed onto film, coated with adhesive powder, and then heat-pressed onto fabric. The heat bonds the ink and adhesive to the fibers, creating durable prints that retain their colour even after repeated washing.

Powder application and curing can be automated with a dedicated shaker and heating unit. These reduce manual steps and are especially valuable for consistent, higher-volume production.
The process requires transfer film, adhesive powder, and water-based inks, each specifically formulated for DTF printing to ensure durability and reliable results.
A heat press is required to bond the film to the fabric. It also melts the adhesive powder when applied manually. Heat presses are available in various sizes and formats, allowing you to match the machine to the type of products you want to produce.
After printing your image, follow these steps:
Apply the powder
Cover the back of the printed design with adhesive powder. This can be done manually or with a shaker. Ensure the entire print area is evenly coated.
Melt the powder
Cure the powder using a heat press or oven. The powder should melt evenly across the design.
Transfer with a heat press
Transfer the design onto the fabric using the recommended settings. Remove the film after the first press, then press again directly on the print to improve durability.
