Rowmark ColorCast Acrylics is a high-quality, cell-cast acrylic sheet that is noticeably clearer and harder than standard extruded acrylics, making it ideal for a wide range of applications such as signage and displays.
Materials & Construction
Manufactured from microsurfaced cell-cast acrylic with excellent optical properties and UV stability, ensuring long-lasting color retention even when exposed to sunlight.
Available in glossy or matte (non-glare) finishes.
Supplied in standard sheet sizes (~610 × 1219 mm) and thicknesses such as 1/8" (3 mm) and 1/4" (6 mm).
Processing & Engraving Properties
Produces sharp engravings and responds exceptionally well to both laser and rotary engraving, allowing for fine detail.
During engraving, the colored layer is removed to reveal the underlying transparent layer.
Can also be sawn, drilled, cut, vector-laser cut, printed (UV-LED), laser processed, and machined using standard workshop tools.
Physical & Durability Properties
Higher scratch and impact resistance than extruded acrylic, resulting in a robust surface suitable for daily use.
Weather-resistant and suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications such as signage or façade panels.
Plates retain their color and finish over long periods thanks to UV stability.
Applications
Ideal for interior and exterior signage, illuminated wayfinding, trophies and plaques, personal identification signs, and POS displays.
Matte versions are often ADA-compliant for tactile (Braille) signage where required.
Additional Features
Can be bonded or laminated to other materials.
Resistant to heat deformation up to a certain point and can be lightly bent when heated.
Clearer than glass but lighter in weight, making it versatile for many design applications.
