What is Rowmark ColorShop® Woods?

Rowmark ColorShop® Woods is a range of real wood panels (primarily birch) constructed from multiple stained veneer layers. The colour is embedded within the material rather than applied only to the surface, making it highly suitable for engraving and cutting with clean, attractive contrast.

These panels combine the natural look of wood with vibrant, consistent colours, setting them apart from traditional plywood or MDF.

Key features

• Made from natural birch wood with coloured veneer layers

• Available in a wide range of colours

• Typical thickness: approximately 3 mm (1/8”)

• Standard sheet sizes such as 305 × 305 mm and 305 × 610 mm

• Finished on both sides (satin or natural wood grain)

• Colour integrated throughout the material, not surface-painted

Machining and processing

• Laser engraving and laser cutting (CO₂ and diode)

• Rotary engraving / CNC routing

• UV-LED printing directly onto the wood surface

• Can be sawn, drilled and glued like traditional wood

During engraving, the top veneer layer is removed, revealing a contrasting wood tone, making it ideal for text, logos and graphic elements.
