Rowmark LaserMag is a laser-engraveable magnetic material specifically developed for flexible, movable, and reusable signage. It combines the advantages of magnetic mounting with the precision and durability of laser engraving. Thanks to its optimized cap layer, LaserMag can be engraved sharply and with high contrast using a CO₂ laser, without fraying or deformation. The material adheres firmly to metal surfaces such as steel and painted metal, yet can be easily removed or repositioned without leaving residue.

Engraving tips & processing

Laser engraving (CO₂)

• Use low to medium power settings; LaserMag requires little energy.

• In most cases, one pass is sufficient for clear, even contrast.

• Prefer higher speeds to limit heat build-up.

• Remove the protective masking after engraving to prevent smoke residue.

• Always ensure proper extraction.

Cutting & shaping

• LaserMag can easily be cut using a knife, scissors, or cutting plotter.

• Rounding the corners is recommended for improved durability.

• Do not drill or mill, as this may damage the magnetic layer.

Cleaning & maintenance

• Clean with a soft cloth and mild cleaning agent.

• Avoid solvents or aggressive cleaners.

Mounting & use

• Mounting without adhesives or screws thanks to magnetic adhesion.

• Best adhesion on clean, flat metal surfaces.

• Not suitable for stainless steel or aluminum without magnetic properties.
